Photo Books for Mother’s Day

There’s nothing like expecting your LO — or being a mama yourself — to bring your appreciation for your own mom to a whole new level. Personally, I never thought much of the fact that my mom said she visited my daycare for all of my feedings … until I had my own sons and realized how inconvenient that must have been for her. As a thank you for all that she’s done for me over the years, I’ve tried to be extra-thoughtful about my Mother’s Day gifts the last couple of years. And one of my go-to places for presents has become Artifact Uprising, which makes absolutely beautiful photo books.

Artifact Uprising offers a wide range of picture albums to suit any style or budget: There are the softcover photo books that start at $15, the $40 customizable baby board books that she’ll love reading with her grandbaby during visits to Grandma’s house and premium hardcover books starting at $69.

The interface of their website is easy to use, so it’s a cinch to pull photos from your digital photo library or your Instagram account and then put them into one of Artifact Uprising’s pre-created layouts, all of which are modern and eye-catching.

What’s more, many of Artifact Uprising’s products are made with sustainably sourced materials, from recycled fibers for the paper to reclaimed wood on items such as the wood calendar (if you decide to venture away from the photo books).

You can tell the quality difference when you handle the final products, which typically ship within two to five business days. I’ve ordered several Artifact Uprising products, including the board books, the wood block with prints, the hardcover photo book and the baby book with coinciding prints and they all feature beautifully rendered copies of my photos in products that have a premium finish and feel to them. The one time that I ordered a book with a page that came wrinkled, I wrote to Artifact Uprising’s customer service team, which was responsive and immediately sent a replacement for no extra charge.

In advance of Mother’s Day, Artifact Uprising is offering 15 percent off all purchases and 20 percent off of purchases of $200 or more with code “MAKEHERDAY.” And if you order by April 28, you can get your gift to Mom by Mother’s Day with economy shipping (you can also delay until May 3 if you’re game to pay for expedited shipping).

The shop’s products have been such a hit with my mom in past years that I’ll definitely be ordering from them again this year — for both her and my MIL. And I may even get myself a gift there while I’m at it!
