It took me SO long to accurately track the cycle. I kept trying to pin it on a specific date each month, but…that’s not really how it works!! It took like TWO YEARS of using both a menstrual tracking app AND keeping a bullet journal to be able to reliably predict when it’ll probably start. I’m STILL working to understand the larger implications of how my cycle can affect my energy level/moods/stuff I haven’t even thought of yet.
It can be really, REALLY hard to detect patterns that we’re living. It’s not like we can be removed from the situation or objective about the relationship our feelings have with our brain chemistry and bodies.
